Okay, so I've seen some weird things in my day. But this is probably one of the strangest things for our global culture as it stands today. I'm not quite so sure if we are willing to move to this level quite yet, even if it is a Japanese product. :o)
Tinkling is an object that makes a "tinkling" sound when you get a voicemail or a text message, bringing technology back to a natural environment. Also, you'll notice that the little tail at the bottom changes its color depending on the type of message.

City Dog Adventure
I don't know why, but this is ridiculously cute and simple. "City Dog Adventure" is a small, urban dog park in Amsterdam, designed by Maartje Dros. It's a place where both dogs, kids and adults can play, and possibly do some dog training while they're at it. This picture of this kid encouraging the dog on the right to jump through the hoop is hilarious.
Alan's War
Really interesting drawing technique using water first to create the outlines, and adding ink later.

CNNBC fake Obama video
Here's a hilarious promotional tactic: embedding your friend's name into a video on the topic of the upcoming election. The theme? Your one friend, who didn't vote, caused McCain to win. Here's the video that I've been the victim of several times.

She has the instrumental version of one of her tracks uploaded to her Myspace. Oh, and she's going by the name of Fever Ray.
Here's a short article about it.

Hotel 626

Okay, so I didn't want to post this yesterday until I tried it. Hotel 626 is a really fun, online, interactive haunted hotel. The object is to figure your way out, but it uses your webcam, microphone and cellphone as tools. Designed by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, the craft is fantastic, and I strongly recommend you try it (it's actually pretty scary as well). Even better, it's only open from 6pm to 6am..... sppoooooooky

Projector Phone
So, graphic designers would totally benefit from having their own personal projector (since color calibration is different with every clunky bit of light-emitting hardware they come across). Well, what if it was within something you carried around everywhere–your phone. It's still a clunky for a phone, but the technology just needs to catch up.

Okay, so we all have a little bit of voyeurism in our blood. As much as we try not to, we can't help glancing when we know that someone else isn't looking, especially if you feel that their life is more interesting. HBO tapped into that drive a while back, offering a site where you can watch stories unfold, Rear Window style. It's really captivating, actually. Check it out.
