The kid who came up with the snuggie was a college student that had a thing for cutting holes in his blankets. His mom got so upset that she started sewing holes to resemble sleeves in his blankets. I guess it was a hit amongst his fraternity brothers, so he decided to actually market the thing. Freaking genius. However, I still hate it.
When I first saw the TV spot, I knew it was the perfect xmas gift for my mom... luckily we got 2 FOR 1!!!! and are also the proud owners of Snuggie.
Unfortunately the material creates terrible static cling.
My son runs up to me every once in a while with the booklight in his hand and says, "Papa! Look!", then pushes the button that magically opens the folding arms, then says, "Cool papa, huh?!"
We choose sage to match my mom's living room, but I now regret not getting the red so I could look like a member of the Spanish Inquisition while watching That Metal Show on VH1 Classic.
