So, the Global Language Monitor scans media and the Internet (now including social media and blogs) for the top phrases / words of 2009. "The words tracked in relation to frequency, contextual usage and appearance in global media outlets, factoring in long-term trends, short-term changes, momentum and velocity." This stuff fascinates me for some reason. The top 3 words?
1. Twitter
2. Obama
3. H1N1
