This LED Tunnel, 200 feet long in the National Galler of Art Washington DC, has over 41,000 LED lights.  What's great is that it's completely random, so you'll never experience the same animation twice.

woah.  the more I look at this site, the crazier I feel and the more brilliant it becomes.  For the past 14 days 20 hours 38 min and 10 seconds, people all over the world have been virtually stacking these Cup-o-Noodles.  It's only at 51,557 feet right now, but the goal is to end up in space.

FutureMe

For some reason, this has a "woah" factor for me. FutureMe.org allows you to write a message, choose your due date, and have that message emailed to you in the future. I just tried it, and have a feeling I'm going to be creeped out when 2010 rolls around.

Synoptic is a fantastic information-graphic site, generated by meteorological data from Augsburg, Germany. Such things measured are degrees, wind speed, humidity and more! And It's in 3D!!!

Google Eye Tracking

So, how can Google learn more about the way we parse through their immense amounts of search results?  Eye tracking of course!  Google recently studied 34 searchers, attempting to read their mind using eye-trackers.  Here's a basic video of how your eye jumps around the page (and yes, this is in real time).



The recent blog post displaying the results from this study is fascinating.

So, these guys have been around for quite a bit, but I just thought I would share my love.  eBoy is considered the "godfather of pixel."  Not only do they make toys, but they construct beautifully detailed, digital imagery, magnifying the pixels.  I haven't looked at a work of art in such length since "Where's Waldo?"  Check out their blog + shop.
