Ora

AH! So beautiful! Check out the latest watch concept from Alexandros Stasinopoulos titled Ora. The silhouette it creates is absolutely beautiful. The time is actually represented through three bands–similar to a measuring tape. One band represents the hour, the minute and the day.

Human Body Carpet Radio

Check out this weird carpet radio that uses your body as an antenna and tuner. Personally, I'm a fan of white noise so I could see myself playing with this for hours.

Speaker Screen

Emo Labs has developed a fantastic piece of technology–converting your screen into a set of stereo speakers. They apply a thin membrane to the screen that picks up the vibrations set off on either side. What you get is a much, much thinner alternative to your traditional speakers.

Hermes Yacht

I pretty much love everything made for rich people. Thus, it's only natural that I'm completely obsessed with the Hermes Yacht– with three levels, a swimming pool and the space to sleep up to 12 people. Let's make a rap video! Fubiz has more photos.

Microsoft "Courier"

So, everyone has been looking so closely at Apple to pop out some sort of interactive tablet. Who did they miss, but Microsoft. They've come up with quite an impressive prototype utilizing two interactive touch screens. What's fantastic is that the tablet has the ability to fold in half, making it easier to hold when standing. Goodbye, laptops! Gizmodo has the first release with more photos.

Siggi Eggertsson

Eggertsson is a Berlin illustrator with a gorgeous sensibility toward shape. Using rounded graphic forms, and desaturated colors, he's able to completely redefine an image's contours– creating new shapes out of things we interact with on a daily basis. Check out his new animation below, or if you're curious he's got a whole plethora of work just dying to stimulate your eyes.

Quirky

So, Quirky has been catching my attention lately, but I haven't quite investigated its purpose until now. Basically, you can submit a design idea, and if accepted, it'll be added to the site as a concept. If enough people "pledge" or "commit" to the idea, they'll actually produce it! I just committed to this beautiful charger wrapper.

Ye Olde Websites

Here's a great blog post from Telegraph displaying how 20 popular websites looked when they first launched. I really like Facebook's, because I remember being a part of that transition.

But, the Whitehouse.gov site blows my mind.
