XO-3

So, we saw the BEAUTIFUL concepts for the XO-2, the One Laptop Per Child's dual touchscreen computer. Well, here's the newest concept for the XO-3! OLPC is tapping into the simplicity of the tablet that's going around– making it a one screen, touch interface. And... they're hoping to release it for $75 a piece! WOO!

Cipher

Cipher is an AMAZING drinking glass concept by Damjan Stanković! So, when idle, the glass appears to be patterned with a sequence of random dots. BUT! What's AMAZING is that when different liquids are added, the glass will "decipher" its contents based on the color of the liquid! I love it! More photos on his showcase!

Facebook Holiday Gift

Facebook gave out 19" x 19" beautifully embossed posters to all of their advertisers. From the illustrative style of Ben Barry, a Facebook designer, the poster came with a silk-screened token, allowing the recipient to donate $75 to the public school of their choice. More gorgeous photos at UnderConsideration.

Hero

I just found out something. Apparently, I'm a hero! Why? Because I've been paying Swedish Broadcasting Fees. That's right. And, they've made this video to celebrate my acts of heroism. Check it out..... or make your own!

Top 10 Foodgasms of 2009

HAHA! I think food is pretty much hilarious. Even more hilarious is humanity's intense infatuation with putting something in your mouth only for a brief moment. It's weird... I know. Anyway, I love that someone has finally commented on this. Check out FoodNetworkHumor's 10 biggest "foodgasms" from last year! Here are some of my faves.

T2 Holiday Card

We just finished the interactive holiday card for T2! We had these amazing custom chocolate doves made by Diana Phillips Artisan Chocolates. The doves were interlocked, and the recipient could give one to a friend. Also, we put an augmented reality marker on the bottom, where they can go to this site for an extended experience! Try it out!

We also made this demo video!

Aol.

So, I've been watching the release of the new Aol brand for a while now. I must admit, they're doing a fantastic job if they're targeting 25–35 year olds. Designed by Wolff Olins NYC, these new animations are sure to stimulate your senses, and hopefully get you excited about a trippy revival of our childhood friendship with the Internet.

Ryan McGinley

It seems like a simple idea, but there are a lot of interesting themes of loneliness and exploration that come from Ryan McGinley's Moonmilk series. His use of fabricated color and texture contrast is absolutely stunning. Check out more of Moonmilk.

New Zealand Book Council

Here's a really amazing stop motion articulation of the book Going West by Maurice Gee. Using only 10A scalpel blades and 2 SLRs, they shot the entire thing in 3000 images.
